george iii mahogany irish peat bucket

Circa 1800, George III mahogany Irish peat bucket. The oval tapering bucket with staved sides and brass collars to base and top to hold it in place. The top brass collar has an unusual anchor shaped brass joint to which the arm is affixed. There is a later aluminium liner. The bucket has wonderful colour and condition, and retains its original brassware and base. Very rare and desirable.
