Circa 1775, George III mahogany and brass bound Irish plate bucket. The tapering bucket has staved sides and a cast brass lifting handle fixed on the sides of the top strap by an elaborate anchor shaped fixing. The bucket has 2 cast brass bands which surround it. At one side is a small dip in the centre for lifting the plates out. The bucket has a mahogany base and excellent colour.
