Circa 1850, George III style breakfront four door cabinet bookcase (with alterations). The bookcase has a raised central section with stylish generous ogee moulded cornice. Beneath this are two astragal glazed doors, and on either side are two further doors at a lower level. Inside there are adjustable shelves with ribbed and fluted moulded fore edges. There are five shelves in the central section and four shelves on the left and right. Beneath the doors is a small shelf, and at the base is a combination of four small panelled doors in the centre and one large panelled door on the left and right with matching flame mahogany panels. Inside is a single adjustable shelf in the centre, and various shelves and pigeon holes in the wings. The bookcase is a good size, sturdy and great storage capacity.
