Circa 1830, George IV mahogany teapoy/sewing table. The teapoy has a solid mahogany rectangular top with a moulded edge which is hinged and opens to reveal two satin birch compartments with hinged lids and turned knobs which open to reveal an open well. The centre of the teapoy has a compartment with 14 square divisions. The case is tapered and there is an oak lined drawer at the bottom with a lock. There is a square column below with beading in the centre and the whole piece stands on a platform base with 4 squat bun feet.
