?Late Georgian Oak chest of drawers (2 over 3) circa 1820/30 on bracket feet. A well made, heavy and solid piece of furniture.The drawers are Pine lined, fine dovetailed jointed, clean inside and the runners and stays (which keep the drawers in the correct alignment) are all present and work well. The three larger drawers retain their original blue paper linings. The two smaller drawers have a newspaper liner which is the Northampton Mercury dated 15th March 1862.

The screw in hard wood knobs are later Victorian replacements. Large brass escutcheons, original locks (except one), original pine panelled back. This piece has had small bits of restoration work in recent years and as a consequence, the polish finish is in good order with an all round even colour. Small areas of wear to the reeded molding. Free from worm, damage and or large stains, some small stains/marks under the polish/wax to the top (pleas see photographs) other than small old marks/scratches under the wax commensurate with age.
