Lovely George III mahogany and inlaid demi-lune tea table, circa 1790 with beautifully figured solid mahogany top. The top has inlaid tulipwood crossbanding to the edge with boxwood line to either side. The frieze is decoratively crossbanded with tulipwood & inlaid with line. Each leg is surmounted with an inlaid flame mahogany oval detail. Boxwood line is inlaid to each edge of the tapered mahogany legs. Both rear legs swing out to support the top when unfolded. Original brass hinges.Good colour and robust proportions.
