Circa 1900 George III style mahogany inlaid sewing box in the form of a cellaret, the rectangular top with a lovely flame mahogany and broad banding, the deep frieze with similar inlay, opens to reveal an uninterrupted interior, with removable tray, and a brass locking arm, the front has a simple diamond shaped escutcheon, and a pair of cast brass lifting handles on the sides, with a beading in the base, all resting on 4 square legs, with concave facings and sides.
