Circa 1920s. A George III style walnut one piece walnut pedestal desk. The shaped top with tan leather insert, and broad crossbanding, with a stylish and elegant moulded fore edge and deep frieze. A configuration of one long drawer with Gillows style cast brass handles, this is flanked by four further graduating drawers, the two banks of drawer have canted corners, the sides and back of the desk have beaded panels and are polished. Beneath the bottom drawer is a simple and elegant moulding and the whole piece stands on stylish bracket feet.
