Circa 1900. A walnut framed George I style wing armchair. The chair upholstered in a striped green fabric, which is in excellent condition. The shaped back with upholstered wings and arms, with a lift out seat cushion, with an upholstered shaped apron at the front and sides. The back legs with stylish scrolling on the top and center, front legs are short cabriole legs with C scrolling quarter blocks, foliate carving on the knees and towards the base there are carved hairy legs, finishing on a hoof foot. The legs are united by a scrolling well carved stretcher, the stretcher to the front braced with two foliate carved stretchers in the upright position.
