Circa 1910, early Georgian style figured walnut writing desk. The shaped back with banks of cross banded drawers (solid mahogany liners) with shaped brass handles and pigeon holes above concave drawers with axe head brass handles. The writing surface with a gilt tooled skiver above cross banded drawers with brass handles by a shaped kneehole. All supported on acanthus carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
