glorious gilded 19th century picture frame

This lovely early 19th c. gilded picture frame would take a picture or mirror measuring 14" x 11". It has a continuous vine-leaf and grape moulding and an egg and dart moulding on the sight edge. Made from hard-wood this frame is of fine wedged-mitre construction. With oil-gilded inner and a burnished water-gilded outer edge. A beautiful item.
