Circa 1880, Grand Tour bronze brazier, with a bowl at the top embossed with Classical figures. The bowl is held in place by 3 herons with rope protruding from their necks and mouths holding the bowl in position. The herons stand on a circular disc supported by 3 tapering legs with cast deer heads at the top and finish with acanthus leaves and hoof feet at the base. In the centre is a dancing God standing on a base with a turned column and an urn with petals at the top. The whole piece stands on a raised concave platform on 3 hairy paw feet. Very stylish piece, with great colour and patination.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
