JAPANESE WALKING CANEMeiji period walking stick,
Bamboo with Rootball Handle
Excellent Delicate Carvings of Petals
with small pattern.
Six rows of Japanese Kanji inscribed around the stick.
I have dusted with talc to highlight in the photos.
I have not seen a stick with so much Kanji on.
Some small cracks and dings
Typical of bamboo and consistant with age.
But again a very strong solid stick.
Good looking stick with a nice feel to it.
Appears to have been wieghtedLovely aged patina with some wear consistent of age.34 1/4 inch/87 cm long

Yamabushi came about through a long time involvement in the martial arts, which brought about an interest in Japanese weaponry and antiques from the Samurai era up to edged weapons of the Japanese in the second world war. I now buy and sell items worldwide, the vast majority of them coming direct from Japan via trusted dealers I have traded with for some years. Stock varies and is constantly changing, though I do have a particular leaning towards hand weapons and tansu, I am always willing to try and source items for customers.
