    Again, selling from our family collection another beautiful example of a 1941 Japanese Army Officers Samurai sword, purchased 30 years ago and been is storage for 10.

     
    A WWII type 98 Shin-Gunto Katana samurai sword hand forged by Yoshiaki ID YOS1398 in 1941 in the Mino province for the Japanese Imperial Army, includes ‘Cherry Blossom’ stamp, while the polished blade displays a very nice strong Hamon wave patterns.
     
    The Tsuka is constructed from wood covered in rayskin with brown cloth bindings holding 2 brass menuki.
     
    Matching Decorative metal Kashira & Fuchi.
     
    Wood & Lacquer finish Saya, which has unfortunately split but can easily be repaired or replaced
     
    Brown leather 'combat' Saya & Fuchi cover.
     
    Lieutenant – Captain brass Gunto Ashi and Blue/brown cord
