Jaeger LeCoultre Weems Mk VIIA 6B/159, issue number 7314/40, dated early 1940, the Battle of Britian period.
An unprecedented opportunity to acquire a fine rare example of the Jaeger Mk VIIA Weems. It is fully signed throughout and in fine original and unrestored condition including its original dial and deep blued dagger-shaped handset. The watch is in full working order keeping time. It is fitted on a fine what looks to be original canvas strap. The outer back of the case is further scratch-marked 13839, possibly being a WW2 pilot’s service number.
Note. For almost identical examples see page 653, British Military Timepieces by Konrad Knirim, in particular, the second watch down which carries movement number 115102, just 248 numbers apart from this current one on offer. Regarded by some leading authorities as one of the very best issued WW2 military pilots' watches of the period.
Price on application.
