Set of four gorgeous, original, hand coloured engravings / aquatint, from James Forbes 'Illustrations of Oriental Memoirs'.

The work was published in London by Richard Bentley. Tha majority of these engravings were done by William Hooker and are rich and finely coloured, natural flora of India.William Hooker was one of the finest artists of the day, and is famous for some of the best Botanicals of his time. All four are framed, ready to hang.

Antiques have been our family passion for over 40 years. Gone are the days when I was young and travelled the country with my father buying different antiques and collectibles. I still love going to Antique Fairs and Auctions whenever I can. Looking to source items which are hard to come by. I recall when I was younger my father bought and sold Antiques and he at times went to Windsor House Antiques in Leeds which was owned by Kevin Smith who my father dealt with many many times way back in the 1970s.
