Circa 1860 Large decorative Victorian gilt wall mirror with Queen Victoria royal warrant label. The rectangular mirror with its original plate in generally excellent condition with a curved top and base surrounded by a moulded frame with neoclassical foliate decoration, further surrounded by vertical pillars with intertwined C scrolls and bellflower chains. The top with further Rococo C scrolls and a central shell decoration. The base with a small shelf and further shell and intertwined foliate decoration. The mirror back bearing the Royal Warrant label of its maker Hay & Lyle decorators, carvers, gilder to the Queen 73 Union Street Aberdeen

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
