large french 18th century split panel chateau mirror

Large 185cm high French 18th Century split panel mirror with sparkle, glass patination typical of the hand made mercury type.
Sourced from a chateau via Avignon antique dealer, in 2003
Treated for woodworm prior to import to the UK. Original oak frame and backing. Glass is older than the frame. Probably pre-revolution. Split panel original plate was not made after industrialisation of glass production.
