The breakfront D shaped outline, the crossbanded top with metal banding and porcelain panel, above a pair of cupboards mounted with four oval Sevres plaques depicting 18th century ladies and floral bouquets, flanked by a pair of curved display cupboards enclosing glass shelves with plush interior on a plinth base raised on toupie feet with gilt bronze mounts. Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
