A dated George I panelled coffer. The large oak coffer with 5 panels on the lid, the top with wonderful colour and patination, the front with a carved frieze including ‘IAM 1725’ with primitive carving on each side, beneath there is 5 more panels again with great colour and patination framed with a simple moulding, the gables with 2 polished panels and the back with 5, making 19 panels on this large early oak coffer, the hinges on the top have been replaced other than that is in its original condition.71cm High x 161 Long x 64cm Deep Our Ref 22256
