A large and well made mid Victorian chest of 2 short over 3 long drawers in Mahogany, Mahogany veneered pine, on high turned feet. Original hardwood knobs, (one knob has a sliver missing from its underside - please see photographs), cock beaded pine lined drawers and original brass ware. The top has Ebony stringing to the edges and the high turned feet have been ebonised to match. The sides are stained and French polished pine (not Mahogany). The drawers are robust, have fine dovetails to all corners, run smoothly and the cock beading is all present. Free from worm or any un-repaired damage - polish finish in good order, some very light scratches/marks under the polish commensurate with age.
