late 18th century new hall porcelain teapot and cover

A nice late 18th century English porcelain teapot and cover by New Hall.

Painted in black enamel in pattern 308, with an ornate flower basket to the sides with a ribbon and a dotted and lined layered border to the top of the teapot. There are also sparsely decorated floral sprigs to the sides and cover. The handle and spout are also embellished with black decoration. The lid of the teapot fits into a raised collar section. The finial to the lid is of a drawn up flower bud. New Hall made this finial hollow allowing the steam from the tea to escape.
