late victorian cast iron fender

Circa 1890. A late Victorian cast iron brass and copper fender. The unusual and stylish fender with two raised sections, each with mythical sea horses with an embossed copper support. The fender, is low with a stylish pattern cast into the front and sides, with an applied copper section on the facing which finishes on two small finials. The corners have brass strapping with elegant and stylish finials which gives the fender a great look and style.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
