Circa 1830. A good interesting mahogany framed leather upholstered billiard room or gaming chair. The shaped and carved top rail with acanthus carving on the sides and a cartouche shape in the center, the deep buttoned upholstered back, seat and padded arms with curved mahogany terminals with foliate carving similar to the back. The back legs are square and slightly out swept and the front legs are turned fluted and tapering, the legs braced by elegant turned stretchers. There is a small step which is supported on small turned tapering legs with a larger bulbous pair behind.
