Circa 1930. Louis XV style ormolu mounted walnut ladies writing desk. The shaped desk with a variegated white marble top with a ¾ brass gallery and 2 short drawers with parquetry inlay and ormolu (gold cover bronze handles). With shaped sides, a purple leather writing slide above an inlaid and parquetry inlaid frieze drawer with elaborate escutcheon and shaped skirt. The desk is free standing with parquetry panels at the sides and back, all supported on cabriole legs with neoclassical ormolu mounts and sabots.
