Circa 1910 Magnificent George II style Burr Walnut bookcase/glazed cabinet. The triple arched top with the cavetto moulding and a carved shell frieze over the double arched glazed doors with rounded glazing bars opening to interior with adjustable wooden shelves. The base with a moulded top above three cross-banded drawers with open fret brass handles above a shaped apron with a carved shell decoration. All supported on four cabriole legs with foliate carved knees over scrolled pad toes. Beautiful colour and patina and of exceptional quality.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
