Circa 1900. An interesting clean and stylish mahogany folding campaign desk. The rectangular shaped desk with panels on the front and back, the top section which is hinged, has a brass button to release and this opens to a well fitted interior with blotter, ink well, various pads and letter holders. The top is locked in position by two brass clasps and has with gilded hinges, the flat surfaces are supported on a stylish X frame with large brass screws on each end, and a turned and fluted stretcher bracing the legs, which have a slight curve towards the base and finishing on a curled toe front and back.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
