Circa 1900, mahogany, painted and inlaid bedroom suite comprising wardrobe, towel rail, bedside cabinet and two chairs. The wardrobe is in the Adams style with a double domed top, the cornice with circular painted panels on each end, swags and tails, and carvings of multiple woods in the background. The wardrobe itself has three doors, the outer doors are flat and the centre door is bow fronted. There is flamed mahogany, carved beading and oval painted panels in the classical style in the centre. The panelled doors have a very stylish beading both top and bottom. There is a hanging section on the left and right, and a combination of slides and drawers in the centre section. There is a stylish moulding on the bottom of the wardrobe and the whole piece stands on six elegant turned feet. Also included in the suite, is a towel rail, a pair of chairs and a single bedside cabinet all with painted panels. The suite is spectacular.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
