Item is in good condition although, on the top of the head, there are two large visible chips in the wood due to age, handling, and usage.

ITEM 1487 DESCRIPTION
A male African mahogany bust. The figure has an elongated head with close-cropped hair. The eyes are downcast with a flat nose and full lips, and the neck and ears are evident. The head is on a curved prism base. The bust has been painted black in a shiny glaze and does not appear to be artist-signed. Many African figures are made by companies specializing in African art. The Besmo Company of Kenya is a Fairtrade Wholesaler that has many artisans from Kenya crafting busts of humans, animal figures, wall decor, trinket boxes, kitchen utensils, masks, and vases to name a few.
