Circa 1860. An early Victorian red walnut sarcophagus shaped wine cooler of Royal proportions. The top surmounted by a carved section with grapes pomegranate and pineapple, the tapering top with various mouldings, the canted corner front with a large carved section in full relief, which pulls out to reveal a metal lined interior (liner has been made recently and is waterproof). The front is so large that the pull-out drawer is on castors, there is further mouldings and the whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. The cooler has excellent colour and style.
