mid 1920’s 4/4 violin carrying the lable of scrampelle and dated 1924

This mid 1920’s 4/4 violin is 58cm in total length and was brought over from Italy just after the second world war and was then stored with loving care in a suit case for over 70years. Where-upon the death of the liberator of this instrument, the violin was then sold to a relative whom then later sold it to me

The instrument handles well and when played produces warm tones. The violin is a full sized 4/4 with a one piece back and covered by a rich reddish varnish and is in excellent condition. When I purchased this violin, it came with a bow and case, but although the bow might be of the same period and therefore with the violin, the case is of a much earlier period and very solid, so probably was used as a way of keeping the instrument from being damaged rather than for its visual aspects This excellent violin would make an extremely sensible purchase especially for anyone looking for an excellent investment, or even a special gift. I certainly believe that it would be quite difficult to easily find another example. I guarantee a refund of the purchase price if the item of choice is received damaged. Simply email a photo of the damaged item on the date you had received and stating that it will be returned in the same condition and once the item has been received, you will be refunded. If, returning an undamaged item because you believe it fails to represent or reflect the condition stated within the advertisement, then simply email a photo of the item on the date you received it along with your complaint. If the advertisement description of the item is deemed accurate but never-the-less you still intend returning the item, then once received undamaged you will be sent a refund less administration and postage and packing costs.
