Circa 1860 with alterations. Mid-Victorian burr walnut tall open bookcase of desirable proportions. Surmounted by a moulded cornice over a burr walnut beaded frieze, the bookcase with 4 adjustable shelves with moulded walnut facings and flanked by tall pilasters with carved corbels to the top. All sitting on a neat, enclosed plinth base. Stylish, functional and in excellent condition.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
