Circa 1860, mid Victorian mahogany 4 door inverted bookcase. The bookcase has a large inverted cornice and below this are four well carved foliate corbels. There are 4 glazed doors with solid mahogany mouldings and rounded corners. Inside the bookcase are various shelves which are adjustable. There are carved corbels at the bottom of the doors as well and a flat surface. Below the top there are 3 drawers – 2 on the outside and 1 long drawer in the centre. There are 4 panelled doors, the outer ones again with carvings on the top and bottom. The bookcase stands on an enclosed mahogany inverted plinth.
