neat sized mahogany chest by mr sillars

Circa 1970s. An unusual mahogany chest made by Mr Sillars – of ‘Sillars and Donaldson’ Cabinet Makers, Grove Street, Edinburgh. Mahogany top with low edge to the back and glass preserve. Chest has simple moulded fore-edge and a configuration of six graduating drawers. Each of the drawers has a pair of cast brass knob handles, below the bottom drawer is a simple moulding and the whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth.
