Circa late twentieth century, Chinese quartet of carved hongmu tables with mother of pearl floral inlay. The beautiful mother of pearl inlay is on the top of the table and composes a pattern of flowers, butterflies and birds. The tables each have an open carved fretwork frieze, consisting of vine decorations. Each table stands on fluted, tapering supports with cross-stretchers.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
