A portrait of Marie Antoinette entitled Marie Antoinette a La Rose, after the French court painter Louise Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun. A retrospective of her work is on display at the Grand Palais in Paris through January 2016.According to Bonhams this is a Victorian copy probably painted around 1900, and the age of the canvas and stretchers would support this (see photo 3) . The artist is unknown.Professionally framed and tagged in an elegant gilt double frame. The painting has been meticulously cleaned, partially restored, and revarnished by a restoration professional.There is a touch of damage to the canvas, as shown in the last photograph.
