Circa 1900, very stylish circular oak occasional table, the quarter sawn top with peg dowels showing. There are 6 peg dowel positions clearly visible indicating a quality made table. Beneath the top there is an apron with some ribbing in it, and from this are 4 elegant turned and tapered legs. At the top of the legs are oak blocks and then there is a turned tapering section. Towards the base of the leg there is a double turned section and then a large oak block. From this protrude a cruciform stretcher which unites all four legs and give the table good stability.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
