This is a pair of antique maritime bookends. A Continental, copper plated oak book rest in Arts & Crafts taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

• Invokes the age of discovery, with a grand sailing ship motif
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Oak form presents fine grain interest and caramel hues
• Copper plate with hand beaten ship motif accentuating each rest
• The ship bearing a resemblance to the iconic sails of Vasco da Gama (1459 - 1524)
