This is a pair of antique morning room elbow chairs. An English, mahogany carver seat in Chippendale revival taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

• Superb Chippendale revival taste and fine craftsmanship
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Wonderful drop-in cushions in a tasteful cream colour
  
  
• Serpentine cresting rail, with broad 'Chippendale' ears
• Leading into a striking, pierced back splat with graceful fretwork
• Sinuous arms terminate in appealing scrolled knuckles
• Each arm raised upon a slender, S-curve support
  
  
• Quality, suede upholstery in good order, free of marks or loss
• Professionally reupholstered and traditionally stuffed cushioning
• Seat at a comfortable height of 46.5cm (18.25")
• Raised upon square section front legs, with a gently splayed pair to the rear
• Legs united by way of a double H stretcher
