Circa 1780, pair of George III mahogany inlaid fold over tea tables. The hinged, D-shaped tops are in mahogany and have a simple string inlay, occurring on the fore-edge. They open to reveal the mahogany interior with similar string inlay. The front has a large section of cross banding and has a single drawer with box wood lining and string inlay with canted corners and a large brass escutcheon. The inlay is repeated to the sides and the back legs are hinged to support the top. Standing on 4 substantial square tapering legs with string inlay to the front which finish in a small arch.
