Circa 1870. A pair of mid Victorian burr walnut and inlaid D shaped fold over card tables. The tops with fine book matched burr walnut, with floral and string marquetry throughout, with a deep moulded fore edge, the frieze follows the shape of the tops, which are hinged and open to reveal felt lined interiors with broad cross bandings. Resting on a turned and carved stem, with a downward facing finial in the center, issuing four hipped cabriole legs with foliate carving on knees, scrolling on the inside and finishing on a well carved toe, with original white porcelain castors beneath.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
