Circa 1870, large pair of Roman style bronze tabletop candelabra. The top section has 5 candle holders; the 4 outer ones are in a symmetric formation and the centre one is slightly raised. These are all held in position by stylish cast arms which have an interesting pattern underneath. There are chains hanging from the top of each one and these are secured to one side on a small hook. The columns have an interesting flange top, are fluted and tapering with a pattern repeating towards the bottom. There is another flange below with a foliate carving and design pattern. The whole piece stands on an elegant tripod base in the form of animal hooves. The candelabra are cast, and super quality.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
