This portrait belongs to a pair of the Gordon couple; the portrait of Mrs. Gordon is also for sale. William Gordon, Deputy Ranger of St Jame''s Park. Born August 1744 son of Cosmo, 3rd Duke of Gordon. He married at Whitkirk, Yorks on 1st March 1781 Miss Frances Shepherd. He died 1st May 1823.
