Circa 1890. Qing period marble inset carved hardwood Chinese plantstand. The circular top with nicely variegated pink, purple and white marble inset and faux bamboo carved edges above a pierced frieze with bamboo leaves and flowers. All supported on four bamboo cabriole legs with cross stretchers.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
