Circa 1960. Quality Louis XIV style marquetry inlaid mahogany marble top French commode. The variegated grey, green and cream coloured marble top with a moulded serpentine front over two deep drawers with exceptional rococo ormolu mounts, escutcheons and handles. The drawers outlined with rococo ormolu scrolls over a shaped apron with ormolu cartouche. The sides with ormolu mounted panels of marquetry flowers and supported on angular cabriole legs with ormolu capitals and ball and claw ormolu sabots.
