Circa 1880 Quality marquetry inlaid mahogany late Victorian display cabinet. Surmounted by a polished mahogany top with ¾ gilded brass gallery above a concave frieze with detailed floral foliate inlay. The shaped door with brass beading and marquetry inlaid frame with an ormolu escutcheon opening to interior with inlay shelves. All supported on a base with marquetry inlaid skirt and supported on brass mounted cabriole legs with brass sabots.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
