Circa 1830 and later, a quality octagonal black marble and inlaid specimen topped Italian table on Anglo Indian carved paduk base. The top with star pattern in the centre contained within concentric inlays of black and yellow variegated marble, further bands and various patterns with different marbles both geometric and curved. The table top is in excellent condition, resting on a wonderful profusely carved stem which includes top with bulbous flower head, fluted sections and foliate carving in the centre continuing down to a well carved flared foliate base all standing on a large concave triangular shaped platform base with a carved apron, finishing on wonderfully scrolled feet with the original brass and porcelain castors.
