...........................................................................Description: RARE 18thc OIL ON TIN PAINTING DEPICTING A SLAVE BOY WITH HE'S MASTERS C1780This superb all-original painting dates to the latter part of the 18th Century and depicts a family group portrait together with their young black servant/slave.The work is an Oil on Tin Panel and is mounted within the original period Georgian frame which suits the painting beautifully.Acquired recently from a private collector.The painting is 100% original and is in 1st class condition throughout. The Original period frame is also in splendid condition apart from a minute area of gesso which was missing at the time of photography but has since been expertly restored.This is a highly rare depiction of 18th century aristocracy life and although we have been unable to find a signature, the painting deserve far more research.
