Circa 1815, rare Regency rosewood and brass inlaid teapoy on stand. The sarcophagus shaped teapoy has brass beading and an elaborate brass pattern to the centre and brass inlaid front. To the sides are cast brass lion mask head with pull rings. It is on a scumbled rosewood column which has a ring turn, a full fluting section and leads on to a circular base of sabre legs which are inlaid in brass, finishing on brass hairy paw feet and brass castors. The interior is covered in velvet, with a central bowl inlaid with brass between two hinged compartments.
