Circa 1860, rare set of 6 carved rosewood armchairs. With oval carved backs framed in rosewood and deep buttoned red leather (with brass studding). There is further leather padding to sections of the arms, and foliate carving continues from the back to the stuff-over leather seat. The cabriole back legs finish on a curled tow and to the front, the cabriole legs continue down to a curled toe and raised foot. All in excellent condition.
